New Project in the Solomon Is. :European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights- European Union
European UnionOver the next three years FWC Solomon Islands office will work with the Solomon Islands National Union of Workers to develop awareness of rights and responsibilities of workers, their families and communities, (particularly but not exclusively, those dependent on forests, logging and allied industries) to enable and stimulate them for informed participation in democratic processes.
Specific work will include the development and production of appropriate materials for national distribution and use - including in specialised weekly radio broadcasts - ensuring effective communication and training with communities at local, provincial and national level regarding their rights and responsibilities as citizens of the Solomon Islands.
